Mark a model as filed
Aikount prepares the models from your accounting, but the filing is done by you or your accountant at the AEAT electronic office. Once filed, you come back to Aikount and mark the model as filed. The model then stops showing as pending and keeps its receipt and date stored alongside the rest of your accounting.
Why mark it
- You clear the warning. The model leaves "pending" in the Tax calendar and in the upcoming-taxes widget on the Dashboard.
- You keep the proof. Aikount stores the receipt PDF and the filing date, so the proof lives with the period's accounting, not lost in an email or a folder.
- You leave a trail for your accountant. Anyone with access sees at a glance what has been filed and when.
How to do it
- File the model at the AEAT electronic office (you or your accountant) and download the PDF receipt.
- In Aikount, open the model in the Taxes section.
- Mark it as filed, set the date and attach the receipt PDF.
From then on, the model shows as filed, with its date and document accessible whenever you need them (a review, an accountant's query, an audit request).
Marking a model as filed does not file it with the tax office: it's a record that you already did. The actual filing always happens at the AEAT, never automatically from Aikount.
What each filed model stores
| Data | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Filed status | Removes the model from the pending list |
| Filing date | Records when it was filed |
| PDF receipt | Documentary proof, accessible from the accounting |
Before you mark it
Make sure what you filed at the AEAT matches what Aikount prepared. If you filed with different figures (an accountant's adjustment, a last-minute correction), the accounting and the receipt should reconcile, so the history stays reliable.
