FAQ
Short answers to the most common questions about Aikount. Each answer links to the page that explains it in detail.
Is it legal to use Aikount in Spain?
Yes. Aikount uses the Spanish chart of accounts (PGC), prepares the AEAT tax models from your real accounting, and supports Veri*Factu where it applies to you. Data is hosted in the EU (GDPR). Aikount never files anything with the tax office on its own: you or your accountant review and file. More in Security and GDPR.
Does it replace my accountant?
No. Aikount does the mechanical part (typing invoices, categorizing expenses, matching the bank and preparing the models) and hands your accountant finished work to review, apply tax judgment to, and file. You can invite them with a read-only or edit role. See What Aikount is and Team and roles.
Do I need Holded to use Aikount?
No. Aikount is a full alternative to Holded, not an add-on. You can run all of your accounting inside Aikount: sales, purchases, banks, reconciliation and taxes. See Aikount vs Holded.
Do you store my bank credentials?
No, never. The bank connection goes through regulated PSD2 gateways (Ponto Connect, Salt Edge, GoCardless), read-only. Aikount never sees or stores your bank username or password, and you can revoke access anytime. See Connect your bank (PSD2).
Does it file my taxes for me?
No. Aikount prepares the models (303, 390, 349, 369, 111, 115, 190, 180, 130, 200, 202, 347) from the real ledger, so the amounts match the accounting, and warns you of deadlines with a tax calendar. Filing happens at the AEAT; when you file, you mark it filed and Aikount stores the PDF and date. See Tax calendar and Mark a model as filed.
How much does it cost?
There is a free plan and paid plans by annual revenue band; the full product is on every plan. Details and prices are in Plans and billing.
What languages is it in?
The interface and this documentation are in Spanish and English. You can switch language inside the app and in the documentation URLs (/docs/... for Spanish, /en/docs/... for English).
Can I use it via API?
Yes. The API is the product: any agent or script can run the books with a token. There is also MCP (remote and local) to connect your AI assistant. Start with API introduction, Authentication and API keys and MCP.
