Connect Claude to Aikount with MCP
Connect Claude to Aikount accounting with MCP: query invoices, expenses and balances using your real data and authorize access with your account.

What you need
- An Aikount account with a configured company and permission to authorize the connection.
- Access to custom MCP connections in Claude.
- Server URL: https://api.aikount.com/mcp. Do not append
/api/v1.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets your assistant discover Aikount accounting tools. The remote connection needs no local installation. This flow uses OAuth sign-in: do not paste your password or an API key into the conversation.
Step 1 — Check your company in Aikount
Sign in to Aikount and select the company you want to query. Find the URL and these guides under Connect agent in the app's top bar. Copying the URL neither grants access nor creates a key.
Step 2 — Add the connector in Claude
Open Customize → Connectors, select + → Add custom connector, and enter Aikount and https://api.aikount.com/mcp. Add it, then select Connect. Leave the optional OAuth client ID and secret empty: Aikount registers the client automatically.
On Team and Enterprise, an owner must first add it under Organization settings → Connectors. Each member then connects their own account. Availability and limits depend on your plan.

Step 3 — Authorize access to Aikount
The connection opens Aikount sign-in. Check the company name and permissions on the consent screen. Select Read-only to start with queries, then authorize the connection. Return to Claude when finished.
Authorization is tied to that company. Switching companies in the app does not mean an existing connection switches companies: check its authorization before querying other data.
Step 4 — Verify the connection with a query
Start a new conversation and enable Aikount from the + → Connectors menu. Try:
Use Aikount to show my five latest invoices: date, customer, amount and status. Do not modify any data. Tell me if there are no invoices.
Compare the result with the app's invoices page. Generic accounting advice does not verify the connection: the assistant must use an Aikount tool. An empty list may be correct if your company has no data yet.

- “Find my bank movements awaiting reconciliation.”
Creating or modifying data requires write permissions. Review proposed amounts before issuing an invoice or reconciling a movement. Review tax calculations with your accountant.
Troubleshooting
Aikount is missing from the directory
This guide uses a custom MCP server connection. You do not need a published directory listing: add the URL using the steps above.
The connection fails or asks me to sign in again
Check that the URL ends in /mcp, without spaces. Reconnect and finish authorization. If the error persists, save the error message without credentials and contact support.
The assistant cannot change an invoice
You may have authorized read-only access. Check permissions in Aikount. If you need write access, revoke the connection and authorize it again with the appropriate permissions.
How do I disconnect Claude?
Open Settings → API → Connected apps in Aikount and revoke access. You can also remove the connector in Claude. Reconnecting requires fresh authorization.
