How to make a correct invoice

A valid invoice in Spain must include certain mandatory fields. This generator covers them automatically.

Mandatory invoice fields

  • 1.Sequential invoice number and issue date
  • 2.Tax details of issuer and client (name/company name and tax ID)
  • 3.Description of the goods or services and their amount
  • 4.VAT rate applied and amount; IRPF withholding where applicable
  • 5.Taxable base and invoice total

Are the invoices valid in Spain?
They include the mandatory fields (issuer, client, number, date, base, VAT and IRPF). For obligations such as Veri*Factu or guaranteed sequential numbering, use Aikount with your account.
When do I apply IRPF withholding?
Self-employed people invoicing companies or other freelancers usually apply IRPF withholding (15% standard, or 7% for the first two years of activity). Set it under "Tax options" and it's subtracted from the total.
